12" ROUND Ganache Lid

Create professional sharp edges with this single round ganache lid.

  • The 12” round ganache frame is ideal for ganaching a 11” or 12” round cake.
  • Achieve sharp edges on sugarpaste covered cakes by using the ganache lid to smooth your sugarpaste against.

Instructions for use (also on packaging):

  1. Tools and equipment needed: 
    • ​Craft knife
    • Scrissors
    • Spatula
    • Sticky tape
    • Ganache scrapers
    • Glad go-between
    • Spirit leveller
    •  
  2. Place ganache lid onto go-between.
  3. Cut around the lid approximately 1 inch away.
  4. Sticky tape go-between to ganache lid.
  5. Ensure that it is pulled firm & stretched flat on opposite side.
  6. Flip over & spread ganache on covered side of lid.
  7. Working from the back of the cake, flip ganache lid onto cake.
  8. Make sure the lide is level from all angles using the spirit leveller.
  9. Ensure lid & bottom board are in alignment.
  10. Using scraper fill in sides with ganache.
  11. Fill in ganache around entire cake.
  12. Scrape around cake using lid and board as your guide. Repeat another coat if required.
  13. Using a craft knife cut the go between approximately 1cm from edge.
  14. Gently remove ganache lid
  15. Peel back go-between
  16. Reveal your perfectly ganached cake!
